About Us

The Sweden MediCare Institution was established in October 2023 with financial support from the Japan Society of Health Insurance Claims.

The Sweden MediCare Institute is an information platform that broadly provides knowledge and information in the fields of healthcare, welfare, and education in Nordic countries, including Sweden. On this website, we publish submitted papers and contribute to the exchange of acamedic or practical knowledge and information. Furthermore, we offer training and site visit (study tour) opportunities to various individuals involved in the fields.

Furthermore, our institute is currently planning research projects led by an international research team. The immediate research goal is to explore the possibility of aligning the social insurance systems in Japan and other Asian countries more closely with the Nordic-style insurance systems that involve higher tax inputs. Four researchers from the JSIHC (all of whom are directors) are scheduled to participate.
